Grand Bazaar: The colourful yet also labyrinthine Grand Bazaar is the heart of Istanbul’s old city, and has been for centuries. Covering more than 3,000 shops and an estimated 61 streets, its lanes specialise in particular goods, with shops selling leather, jewellery, silver, carpets, ceramics and spices. You may want to arrive prepared to spend.

Feeling like a maze of interconnected passages, the Grand Bazaar has its own banks, hammams, mosques, cafés and restaurants, a police station and a post office. Spice Bazaar: In front of the New Mosque, on the south side of a pigeon-filled square, the Spice Bazaar (also known as the Egyptian Bazaar) is dominated by a tall brick arch. The bazaar takes its name from the Cairo Caravan, the fleet of ships that carried rice, coffee and incense from Egypt.

One of Istanbul’s most impressive shopping malls. Located on the shore of the Bosphorus, İstinye Park is only a 15-minute taxi ride from Çırağan Palace Kempinski Istanbul. The open-air shopping section is home to top luxury brands, with a total of 291 stores and magnificent dining options.

Kanyon

The futuristic-looking open-air shopping mall Kanyon has retained its popularity since 2006. It offers both affordable options and luxury stores; the dining area is on the ground floor and the top floor. It also has one of the city’s best cinemas.

Zorlu Center

With its 10,000 m² main area and 12,000 m² secondary area, it can be described as a semi-enclosed, semi-open city square. It contains around 180 stores and is only a 10-minute drive from Çırağan Palace Kempinski Istanbul.

Akasya Acıbadem

One of the city’s most popular shopping malls. It was awarded Best European Shopping Centre in the “New Developments Large” category at the ICSC European Shopping Centre Awards 2015, and is located on the Asian side.
